It's official: John McCain is coming to town.

The Republican Presidential candidate will appear at a July 23 luncheon at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre. The $250-per-ticket luncheon event will run from 11:30 to 2PM, according to published stories in the media.

While this event is by invitation-only, event chairman Dan Meuser speculated that a public appearance by Mr. McCain may take place in either Lackawanna or Luzerne County on the same day.

As of this post, there is no other information available on possible public appearances. We'll keep you posted...

The election is practically right around the corner, and it's time to "roll up the sleeves" and get to work!

We are setting up phone banks for a "dry run" on Monday August 11 at 15 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre (next to Rite Aid). We will be on site between 5:30PM & 8:30PM.

We need each and every one of you to help the Republican Party win in November!

Our new County Chairman, Terry Casey, hopes the 6th District will get at least 5 volunteers to man the phones on Monday. Can you help us meet that goal?
