6th District Republican Committee - Luzerne County, PA

If you couldn't make the annual 6th District Republican Committee Christmas Party, you missed a memorable evening.

Just a month or so after being declared "dead," we filled the room with enthusiastic Republicans and guests who celebrated the rebirth or Republican Spirit in Luzerne County.

A happy crowd, a slate of engaging speakers, terrific food, plus some fun and song showed we "dead" Republicans are very, very much alive.

With a few words by County Commissioner Steve A. Urban before our meal, and Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta as the featured after-dinner speaker, the inevitable result was a party that ended our year on a decided high note and positioned us to face the challenges ahead.

And that wasn't all.

We even had a little fun with a rousing game of "Pin the Debit Card on the Democrat."

The evening ended with everyone standing together to sing two verses of "God Bless America."

Folks, it was a wonderful, wonderful evening. Our best days lie ahead. It truly is a great time to be a Republican!
